Yes, yes, I know that Glee had an episode about Prom today, and I know that I should be recapping that, and getting all excited about the Celebrity Apprentice finale, and catching up on Korra because I am two weeks behind.
Screw it. I just spent all night saying goodbye to Maurice Sendak. Illustrator of incomparable power, a writer who broke every rule and showed us stodgy adults the hidden dangers of the child's psyche. His works included the Caldecott Medal winner Where the Wild Things Are. I had Higglety Pigglety Pop under my pillow before I could even read, and Really Rosie was my favorite kid's special of all time.
Thanks, Maurice. May I call you Maurice? It was a wild, exhilarating journey.
Yeah, I'll catch up on Glee tomorrow.
